When I was waited in the line at a job centre, I heard a woman said “it’s me, but please wait a minute, I have to log out from this website first, and it’s take time to log out”, when someone called her name. it reminded me about my gym story, when we cheked in at the gym, we have to use the system at the gym to print the ticket, we log in by just use a member card with machine. I have noticed that many people didn’t log out from their account after they printed their tickets, and yes before I can use it I have to log out from the previous account first. It’s dosent take too much time for me just “Click” the “LOG OUT” icon since it is touch creen 
), but sometimes it’s annoyed me when I am in hurry and I have to log out from other people accout first, I am wondering why many people don’t log out from their account after they use it, is it take too much time for them to do that? Or they just don’t consider about it? Or are they in hurry? And yes we are always in hurry to go to change our cloths before we go to the class.
But I’m sure if you are using computer or working in IT for years, then you will never miss to click the “LOG OUT” icon before you left your computer, website or an application, it’s just the reflect that you need to protect your privacy or your security, but how about a 60 somethings years old likes my mom, who just starts to use computer and chat program just because she wants to chat with her far away home daughter? Once when I chatted with my mom and she was at my little niece school, suddenly she just disappeared from the conversation but 5 minutes later she just sent me a message “hello cutie” , I suspected that it was not my mom for sure, YEAH! My mom just left without log off from MSN, I know that my mom could not use MSN or other chat program without get some help from others because she doesn’t know where to “CLICK “and so on.
I just start to think about new Facebook user interface , If you are one of Facebook addicted user then you would have noticed that Facebook have been launched their new interface designs time to time, I have to say that I am impress how much they always want the best for user, that’s why they always come up with the good one, but when I used this version at the first time, it made me start to think about the word “LOG OUT” yes I have to CLICK my Account, so I can log out from website, I have noticed many website are also put the “log out” in the Account category’s manu, maybe the idea of “log out” is one of activities that you suppose to do in the tern of ” YOUR Account’s activity”? Something you have to take care of since it is your account? mmm.. but how about if I’m in hurry? So how many “CLICK” do I have to click until I’m free from it? Lucky, it’s only 2 clicks that I could be free from facebook, but would it better if it’s only one “CLICK”? Then you are free from it? Well, i’m talking about to shut the page down by click on the close tap then you will log out automaticly.
Should we make “LOG OUT” simple, attractive or sexy likes when we need people to “LOG IN”?
And yes, I am NOT a user experience expert but that alls are just my experience as a user with the “LOG OUT “story
